Our farm is educational adventurous and seriously fun for school groups.

Chocolate Making Tours
Visit the farm with your school and enjoy a tour of the farm, including the chocolate and ice cream factory where students will learn all about chocolate from our chocolatier! How it’s made, manufactured and tempered and also get the chance to make and decorate a chocolate figure.
A brief run through of how our ice cream is made here on the farm can also be included! €20 p/student
Coordinated by staff members Matt Harpur B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Susan McLaughlin who had a B.Sc. in Biology students conduct Ecology fieldwork such as a habitat study in our forest assessing flora and fauna, abiotic measurements such as soil pH, light intensity and using equipment such as quadrats, pooters, sweep nets etc.
This can be tailored to any age group and can be used as the mandatory ecology experiment for senior cycle students
A presentation on the farms sustainability efforts and plans e.g renewable energy, waste management & biodiversity.
Prices start at €13 per student
Incorporated into both Chocolate Making & Ecology Tours we can also include business talks which can be useful to students in CSPE & LCVP.
