Our animals at the farm are kept both indoors and outdoors. During the summer months most of our bigger animals are moved outdoors into our paddocks and then brought back into our Jolly Barn for comfort, cosiness and shelter during the winter months. Our smaller animals are kept inside in our Jolly Barn all year round.
Our smaller animals including snakes, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and birds are taken out daily at our petting times for both adults and kids to pet, interact with and hold. Along with this children are allowed to feed our goats ‘Rosie and Molly’ with them gently licking the pellets of kids palms.
We also milk our cow Mags at 4pm in the Jolly Barn everyday during the summer which is not only educational but also a great entertaining show.
We are as happy as a pig in poop here at Leahy’s Open Farm. We love to hang around, sleep and eat.
